Construction K. Laporte Inc. was founded approximately 15 years ago by Mr. Keven Laporte, an entrepreneur passionate about construction quality and innovation. Always striving for excellence, Mr. Laporte acquired Landmark Passivhaus in 2022, a pioneering company in the field of passive homes in Quebec, through Jim Iredale, a recognized expert. Jim Iredale continues to serve as a certified Passive House Consultant for Mr. Laporte’s company. This acquisition marks a strategic turning point for Construction K. Laporte, allowing the integration of expertise in eco-friendly and sustainable passive house construction, known for their exceptional energy efficiency.

The mission of Landmark Passivhaus is to “Building Future-Proof.” With an entrepreneurial ethos focused on ecology and energy efficiency, the company strives to build environmentally friendly homes while adhering to the highest market standards. Mr. Laporte’s constructions range from the Novoclimat standard to the rigorous European Passivhaus standard, ensuring exceptional energy performance.

The team consists of experienced and passionate carpenters who have built several passive houses with remarkable results, particularly in air tightness tests, where the homes achieved a result of 0.24 CAH (air changes per hour), nearly three times lower than the maximum allowed by the standard (0.6 CAH). The team also relies on a certified Passive House Designer, responsible for plan design, energy balance calculations, and project management for the company.

Today, Construction K. Laporte Inc. is a leading reference in Quebec for high-end passive and eco-friendly home construction. The company continues to stand out thanks to its expertise, commitment to innovation, sustainability, and energy performance, contributing to a greener future for generations to come.

Passivhaus certification requires proof that every delivered element is exactly as specified in the PHPP Software. Wall insulation must be documented, window specs are captured, a myriad of photos and readings are all submitted to ensure that your building will not only perform to its designed standard, but also carry the PH designation.
